Privacy Policy

Aariva Learn is a product of Aariva Solution Ltd (“Aariva”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16097466). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Aariva Learn provides daily AI tutoring for children in Reception to Year 6, including optional 11+ exam preparation. Accounts are created and managed by parents; children never create their own account, provide their own email address, or set their own password.

About the parent account holder: name, email address, and an authentication credential (either a password, handled by our authentication provider, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google). If you subscribe, our payment processor also holds your billing details, as described below.

About each child profile: first name, year group, and, if you choose to provide them, date of birth and school name. Children do not have their own login. Instead, each profile has a 4-digit PIN a parent sets, used only to select which child is using a shared family device, it is not a security credential in the way a password is.

Learning data: assessment results, session answers, weekly plans, and progress over time, generated as your child uses the service, so Aari can adapt future sessions to them.

Technical data: standard information collected by any web service, such as IP address and browser/device type, used for security and reliability, not for advertising.

Because children do not hold their own account, all child profile data is provided and controlled by the parent account holder, who is responsible for the accuracy of that data and for deciding what to share. A parent can view, edit, or delete their child’s profile and learning data at any time from the parent dashboard, or by contacting us.

We collect the minimum data needed to run a personalised tutoring session and do not use children’s data for advertising, profiling unrelated to learning, or sale to third parties.

• To create and secure parent accounts and child profiles.
• To generate and adapt tutoring sessions, assessments, and weekly plans, including by sending session content to our AI provider for processing (see below).
• To process subscription payments, where applicable.
• To send account-related emails: welcome emails, password resets, and service notices. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We use the following processors to run Aariva Learn. Each only receives the data it needs to perform its function, under a data processing agreement.

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud: hosts our authentication, database, and file storage.
• Google Gemini API: processes learning content to generate tutoring sessions, questions, and feedback.
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: converts written tutor content into spoken audio.
• Resend: sends account emails on our behalf from learn@aariva.co.uk.
• Stripe: processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card details.
• Oak National Academy: supplies optional classroom reference material when a topic matches; no personal data is shared with them.
• Vercel: hosts the Aariva Learn website and application.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on their standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

We use essential cookies and browser storage required to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep account and learning data for as long as your account is active, so Aari can keep building on your child’s progress. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to: give you a copy of the data we hold about you or your child, correct inaccurate data, delete data, or restrict how we use it. You can exercise most of these directly from your account settings, or by contacting us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
